Dr. Ostrom's Retirement
As many of you have already heard, Dr. Ostrom is retiring. He will remain available as a resource to the practice and its patients and will conduct exams part time as his retirement schedule allows. In order to maintain continuity for his patients, Dr. Ostrom has asked Dr. Friedman to assume primary responsibility for meeting the needs of the many pilots and air traffic controllers who have trusted him for so many years.
About Dr. Friedman
Dr. Friedman has been practicing medicine in the Chicago area for decades. During that time, he has served on the teaching faculty of multiple local universities. In his first career, Dr. Friedman flew SH-60B helicopters as a Naval Aviator and later flew as a commercial pilot out of KDPA with Great Lakes Helicopters. When he became a doctor, he served in the Naval Reserve Medical Corps for many years. He has been coming to Dr. Ostrom for his own flight physicals since 2015.
